SERF AKUNA MATATA BABY SHOWERS

As a community Church “SERF” (Swahili Evangelical Refugee Fellowship) serves low-income refugee families in Atlanta.

We are very eager to share these blessings by showing the love of the Lord through hosting on-going TRIMESTER BABY SHOWERS for any low-income pregnant moms.

👉🏿An opportunity to provide mothers with the tools and resources they need to ensure a healthy and happy start during and after the birth of their babies.

👉🏿Educational opportunities to other attendees, obtaining information and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and their baby’s health, and a forum for asking questions and getting personalized advice.

AKUNA MATATA is a Kiswahili phrase roughly translated as “there are no troubles.” 

This is our key encouragement phrase in this cause of hosting baby showers as it helps the parents-to-be feel less overwhelmed. 

We believe in doing baby showers as a way to relieve stress and anxiety for low-income families. As we know, babies require a lot of things when they finally arrive.

Thus, our Akuna Matata Baby Showers are designed to allow the low-income expecting mothers to bond and connect with other expecting mothers by also providing guidance to expecting mothers who may not have the resources or knowledge to properly care for their new babies.

To provide baby showers for low-income parents while providing support through resources and seminars.

Connecting with low-income expecting mothers and new mothers through baby showers by providing support and guidance and making an impact in the mothers’ and babies’ lives.

OUR PLAN FOR HOSTING BABY SHOWERS EVERY 3 MONTHS:

👉🏿TEN ELIGIBLE LOW-INCOME MOMS WITH 5 TO 8 MONTHS OF PREGNANCY SHOULD SEND US A REQUEST THROUGH THE REGISTRATION LINK

👉🏿LOW-INCOME MOMS WITH BABIES UNDER 3 YEARS OF AGE ARE ELIGIBLE; NEED TO SEND US A REQUEST THROUGH THE REGISTRATION BELOW

👉🏿 OFFERING EXTRA DONATIONS TO ATTENDEES IN NEED (NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED)

NOTE: DONATIONS ARE NEEDED – we will be reserving extra donations to offer to attendees in need.

👉🏿 We will help plan the perfect baby shower with games, music and more.

👉🏿Donors are the special guests to give away the inspirational messages and gifts

👉🏿 Donors or sponsors will provide the information and skills to prepare for newborn development and milestones.
